Australia Voted Yes

Hello from Leslie.

Thank you to the 61.6% of Australians that voted Yes. With our politicians promising to pass legislation on Marriage Equality before Christmas, things are finally being put right.

It would be nice to not even distinguish by saying same-sex couples. How about this? ANY COUPLE will soon be able to be legally married in Australia.

Congratulations to all advocates of Marriage Equality, and to each and every member of the LGBTIQ+ community. We now have a stronger presence in the Australian psyche.

I am prepared to travel anywhere within Australia to provide my Celebrant Services to you. These include Marriage (very soon), Commitment Ceremonies (if you prefer to forego the legalities), MC of events, Funeral pre-planning and Funerals, Baby Namings, Renewal of Vows, and in fact Celebrations for all Occasions.

The first legal document – The NOIM
One of the first things I will do with you to start the wedding preparations is complete the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM). This is the first of 4 legally required documents, and it must be completed and lodged with me at least one month before you get married.

For the NOIM, you need to provide –

Your Birth Certificate and Driver’s Licence OR your Passport
If previously married, either the Divorce or Death Certificate
